The Concessions division at the front of the chain works to attract project funding and offers legal and commercial expertise. The team consists of professional project managers and financial and legal specialists and develops, manages and monitors integral DBFM(O)/PPP contracts in the area of infrastructure and real estate. The team focuses on long-term commitment to projects.
The Dutch government actively uses the PPP model to complete projects. Local governments are also using this market approach more and more often. The main consideration is better value for money.
We have given city districts a new impetus, for example at Hart van Zuid in Rotterdam. We are shareholder for A9 Gaasperdammerweg. We have also made available the Zaanstad judicial building at a fee, with Ballast Nedam Construction handling the project completion and management.
The Concessions division is an active developper in these projects, which is why we work with international banks, insurers and financial investors. The projects are mostly carried out by international consortiums. Consortiums are responsible for the design, financing, management and control of a project.
