Ballast Nedam sold its interests in Concrete Valley to co-shareholder Pieter Nap on Tuesday July 11. With this sale Nap takes over all the interests.
Ballast Nedam participated for 40% in the company and 50% in the property. Due to our minority position, synergy benefits were not sufficiently achievable and, for that reason, it was jointly decided to sell. Ballast Nedam continues to focus on prefab concrete with its companies Haitsma Beton and Hoco Beton.
Concrete Valley was formed in 2012 by a merger of Microbeton and Waco Liesbosch Concrete and consists of the companies Microbeton, MbX and Waco. Microbeton develops and manufactures lightweight ferro cement elements, mbX specializes in the production of concrete geometries with complex geometry and Waco produces prefabricated concrete elements for the construction industry. Concrete Valley is located at the production site in Bergen Op Zoom.
