Code of Behaviour

The Ballast Nedam Code of Behaviour applies to all permanent employees of Ballast Nedam and others who are employed by Ballast Nedam, hereinafter jointly called: “the employee(s)”.This Code of Behaviour is based on the Model Business Code of the Federation of Dutch Contractors’ organisations, Bouwend Nederland (our branch organisation).

In the Model Business Code of Bouwend Nederland fundamental rules are laid down to ensure integrity in the day-to-day conduct of employees. The Association for the Assessment of Integrity in the Building Industry (Stichting Beoordeling Integriteit Bouwnijverheid) was set up to implement this Business Code. Enterprises that join the Association undertake to comply with the provisions in the Business Code. Requirements are laid down for membership. In addition suitable sanctions are provided in case of infringement of the Business Code.

Ballast Nedam and its subsidiairies have signed this Business Code and are included in the public register.

The main objective of the Internal Code of Behaviour is to guarantee integrity as a core value on which the enterprise can be addressed. This concerns both the competition rules and relations with clients and other conduct in which conflict of interests may occur.
