Jonas
Amsterdam
We are happy to announce that Project Jonas by Ballast Nedam West, the collaboration between Rönesans Holding and KODA, and the Rönesans Holdings Support Program had the honour to be nominated. The edie Awards recognize and reward people, projects and partnerships that make a sustainable impact on the world.
The Jonas housing project in Amsterdam earned a prestigious nomination in the Green Building/Infrastructure Project of the Year category. Jonas is an example of environmentally conscious building. This project received the highest BREEAM certification: BREAAM Outstanding certificates for both the design, delivery and use phase. Jonas was developed by Orange Architects in collaboration with ABT and Felixx Landscape Architects and Planners, commissioned by property developer Amvest.
Additionally, the collaborative initiative between Rönesans Holding and KODA received well-deserved recognition in the Partnership & Collaboration of the Year category. Through the joint project, 'Where are we concerning education in villages?,' these partners played a vital role in supporting children's education in earthquake-affected regions of Turkey, fuelled by the dedication of volunteers.
Furthermore, Rönesans Holding's commitment to social responsibility was highlighted in its nomination for the Social Sustainability, Diversity & Inclusion category. Through collective efforts, employees, volunteers, and partners rallied to provide aid to victims of the Turkish earthquake, with a focus on vulnerable groups. The establishment of container cities accommodating 10,000 individuals in the affected area is a testament to their dedication.
While we extend our congratulations to the winners, we are grateful for the recognition of our efforts. These nominations remind us of the importance of our work in advancing sustainability and making a positive impact on our world.
