Niels has been working for Heddes since 1990 and has held the position of Managing Director since the company became part of Ballast Nedam in 2011. Halbe is Managing Director at Ballast Nedam Building Projects since March 1, 2021.
In this position, he is responsible for the realisation of construction projects to the satisfaction of clients and other stakeholders. This with the aim to continuously grow, while achieving safety, quality and sustainability goals.
Halbe was born in 1969 in the Netherlands. In 1992 Halbe obtained a postgraduate BSc Industrial Management, after graduating in 1991 as an engineer (BSc) from the Noordelijke Hogeschool in Leeuwarden. He started his construction career in 1993. He progressed from various project and operational management positions to general management positions in various disciplines (roads, buildings, ports, jetties, industrial and energy facilities) around the world.

With his multicultural experience, Ronald has fulfilled the role of Managing Director of Ballast Nedam Infra Projects since January 2020.
