Ballast Nedam Zuid opens new office in Breda

Ballast Nedam Zuid has opened a new office in Breda. This is a direct result of the increasing demand for houses and utility buildings in the Breda region. The company has moved into a building at the Nijverheidssingel in Breda.

Ballast Nedam is well known in Breda as it already realised many groundbreaking projects there. Examples are the new construction of the City Office, the NAC stadium, the public transport terminal, the renovation and expansion of the Hoge Vucht shopping centre, construction of the swimming pools ‘Sonsbeeckpark’ and ‘De Wisselaar’, buildings for Avans University of Applied Sciences, the renovation of the Ruitersbos nursing home and various housing projects.

Jack Koch, Director of Ballast Nedam Zuid: “We see an increasing demand in the market for houses and utility buildings in the Breda region. More and more people are moving to the city to study, live, work and for leisure. These developments have led to the decision to expand our offices with a local office in Breda.” The expansion in Noord-Brabant comes on top of the existing offices in Eindhoven, Helmond and Den Bosch. It offers the opportunity to be closer to local clients and to maintain lasting relationships with stakeholders. This is in line with the company motto: ‘Together we make the region’.

Councilor Paul de Beer is not surprised by the arrival of Ballast Nedam in Breda: “It is actually a natural choice, if you consider the urban development of our city. We use our unique location and our strength as an international hub. We want to make a significant leap forward. We use the large amount of available space in the immediate vicinity of the station, the city and our unique historic city centre. Of course, we do not do all this alone, but in close cooperation with the surrounding municipalities, the province and the national government. Quality and realising our environmental ambitions are our top priority. There is plenty to do in our beautiful city in the coming years. Ballast Nedam, we welcome you!”
