At Ballast Nedam Industriebouw, we are building the industry of tomorrow by delivering complex, multidisciplinary projects. Whether it’s a completely new greenfield development or a challenging brownfield site, we offer our clients a fully managed service based on our broad technical expertise in civil engineering, piping & mechanical engineering, and electrical engineering & instrumentation. In addition, we have a division specialising in the construction, refurbishment and maintenance of tank and hydrogen stations and charging points.

In addition to our specialist areas, we have a prefabrication facility in Botlek, Rotterdam. Here, we ensure the efficient and controlled preparation and execution of projects. We provide bespoke solutions for both small-scale renovations and large-scale new-build projects, with a flexible approach and a strong focus on quality and safety.

The projects we are working on are primarily for companies in the oil and gas industry, such as Shell and ExxonMobil. Due to the high standards required in terms of safety and quality, we have long-standing partnerships with them and often undertake multiple projects for the same client. This helps us build trust.

Meet Patrick van der Hoeven

Managing Director, Ballast Nedam Industriebouw

Patrick van der Hoeven began working at Ballast Nedam Industriebouw in May 2017. Drawing on his background in electrical engineering, he progressed from project manager to site manager and later to director. With many years’ experience in managerial and executive roles within the industry, he brought a broad range of technical and managerial expertise to Ballast Nedam Industriebouw. Here, he was tasked with setting up the Mechanical and E&I divisions alongside the existing civil engineering activities. Since 2022, Patrick has had overall responsibility for Ballast Nedam Industriebouw.

Drawing on his extensive experience in the industry, Patrick is committed to an organisation where various technical disciplines come together. His ambition is to work together to build the industry of tomorrow, with safety, reliability, decisiveness and collaboration as key principles. Central to this is a strong and future-proof organisation, where employees can develop their talents and customers can rely on high-quality and sustainable solutions.
