Eleven Square

Amsterdam

The Dutch Times Square in the heart of Amsterdam

On a 2.5-hectare site, nine building blocks will soon rise, comprising 536 rental apartments, 157 owner-occupied apartments, and 427 student studios, alongside urban greenery, retail, hospitality, leisure, flexible office spaces, sports facilities, a theatre, and a hotel. All of this will be centred around one square: Eleven Square, a project by Ballast Nedam Development and AM.

Eleven Square is an innovative development setting a new benchmark for urban living and working in Amsterdam. It aims to become the Dutch equivalent of Times Square in New York. This project combines modern architecture with sustainable solutions to create a vibrant and future-proof environment.

What is the challenge?

The challenge of Eleven Square is to develop a multifunctional complex that meets both the residential and professional needs of the modern city dweller. And to achieve this within the limited space of an urban setting, with a strong focus on sustainability and liveability.
