Willems Bouwbedrijf has been constructing functional, sustainable and forward-thinking buildings since 1898. Based in Venlo, over 50 colleagues work on commercial buildings in the logistics, semi-public, industrial, healthcare, retail and office sectors in the Netherlands and Germany. We are a family business with strong roots in the Venlo region and, since 2021, part of Ballast Nedam via the Laudy Group. Our character remains the same: decisive, skilled and committed. Big enough for complex projects, yet compact enough to stay close to our clients.

Willems is a close-knit team where you know everyone and can adapt quickly. The work is varied, and as well as the construction work, we do lots of fun things together, such as company outings and football matches. That’s why I’ve been happy here for six years now.

Our clients

Willems Bouwbedrijf works with clients in the manufacturing, logistics, healthcare and semi-public sectors. By getting involved at an early stage, we collaborate with the client on design, buildability, planning, costs, sustainability and risks. This helps us avoid surprises and deliver projects that are feasible, forward-looking and built with pride.

We are also active in Germany, bringing local knowledge, Dutch pragmatism and the same committed approach to collaboration.

Meet Raymond Veugelers

Algemeen Directeur van de Laudy Groep

Raymond Veugelers is Managing Director of the Laudy Group, which includes Laudy Bouw & Ontwikkeling, Laudy Vastgoedontwikkeling and Willems Bouwbedrijf. He is responsible for the strategic direction, the organisation’s continued growth and relations with clients, public authorities and partners in Limburg.

Together with the management teams of the various business units, he is working on the development of a future-proof construction and property organisation. In addition, through Laudy Vastgoedontwikkeling, he focuses on complex issues relating to housing construction, area development and sustainable urbanisation.

Raymond studied Building Engineering at Zuyd University of Applied Sciences and Construction Management at Eindhoven University of Technology. In addition to his role at the Laudy Group, he is a manager of Bouwmensen Limburg and is actively involved in various provincial and municipal initiatives in the fields of construction, housing and spatial development.
