Ballast Nedam signs construction team agreement for the new city entrance of The Hague

Ballast Nedam Building Projects has concluded a construction team agreement with the development consortium Koningin Julianaplein (OCKJ - a collaboration between developers Amvest and Synchroon) for the realisation of Project KJ Plein in The Hague.

The project is located in the center of The Hague and is adjacent to The Hague Central Station. This new city entrance will be built on top of the new public bicycle parking and consists of two towers, each 90 meters high. After completion, The Hague will have 396 brand new apartments, 51 of which are social rental homes. In addition, 2,400 m2 is intended for commercial space.

The iconic towers (architect Powerhouse Company) are connected by a "city valley". The valley will be provided with a park-like roof environment and a public city hall with 'Haagse' catering and shops. Furthermore, the design vision for the public space was created by the architectural firm DELVA.

Ballast Nedam is proud to contribute to the development of this inner-city area. The iconic buildings fit in seamlessly with the Ballast Nedam Building Projects portfolio. Construction work is expected to start around the summer of 2021.
