Official opening Westfield Mall of the Netherlands

The shopping center has been opened entirely in accordance with the corona measures, in a safe shopping environment for a limited group of visitors.

Mall of the Netherlands consists of 117.000 sqm leasable area, with 280 shops, restaurants and recreational destinations. Within the project, we have provided the characteristic roofs, floors, facades and concrete work on the north and south sides. Usually concrete is reinforced with steel, but for these facade elements we chose for concrete in which small fibers have been poured. This ensures a thin and relatively light concrete facade, without compromising on quality.

BREEAM-NL Design Certificate

Ballast Nedam teamed up with several companies and contractors. This side contract is a relatively unusual form of contract in the Netherlands, but suits us well. We like to take an active, connecting role and we respond timely and effectively to the changes.

In the field of sustainability we achieved the score "Very Good" with our BREEAM-NL Design Certificate.
