BREEAM Very Good certificate for the Westfield Mall of the Netherlands project

It is official: the sustainability certificate BREEAM Very Good for project Westfield Mall of the Netherlands has been released. With a score of 63.81%, the score of this sustainability certificate is even slightly higher than the design certificate.

As executing contractor, Ballast Nedam implemented the choices in the design certificate in the final result. Ferhan Deniz, BREEAM Advisor at Ballast Nedam: "On this project, for example, we achieved a waste separation rate of 90%, of which a large part was recycled and reused. We were also alert to the use of materials with a responsible origin. This result recognises internationally that Westfield Mall of the Netherlands is a sustainable building, with a long lifespan and value."

Ballast Nedam is proud of this result, which was achieved together with the client Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield NV, architect MVSA Architects and all the partners.
