Enabling Works Project Aruba International Airport
The Aruba Airport Authority (AAA) is planning to expand the existing Terminal Building and refurbish part of the existing terminal in order to cope with increasing traffic demand at Queen Beatrix International Airport.
Part of the expansion is ‘the Enabling Works Project’. In essence this project entails the physical preparation of the area for the terminal expansion.
This includes removing existing vital functions for the airport such as power and water supply, chilled water generation and the main airside access gate for vehicles. These services will be housed in a new central utility plant which will provide a compliant, reliable, expandable and future proof facility.
The Enabling Works Project entails the construction of the new utility building, the new main airside access gate building. The project also includes installation, testing and commissioning of various equipment items and systems.
