Ballast Nedam Building Projects

Large, complex construction projects: that's what Ballast Nedam Building Projects is known for. Our projects range from transport terminals, utility buildings, residential towers, offices and hospitals to shopping centres. These often have at least one of the following characteristics: unusual architecture, challenging logistics and a high degree of complexity.

Wind down Ballast Nedam Building Projects

Due to Ballast Nedam's adjusted strategy for non-residential construction activities in the Netherlands, we decided to wind down the Ballast Nedam Building Projects business unit in early 2023. Ballast Nedam's regional companies will carry out all future non-residential construction projects. In this respect, Ballast Nedam will focus on projects that are well-developed and repetitive in terms of construction methods, where expertise can be (re)applied and risks can be better managed.

The legal entity Ballast Nedam Building Projects continues to exist and we continue to meet all our (warranty) obligations to our clients, subcontractors and suppliers.

Projects to be proud of

As Ballast Nedam Building Projects, we have delivered dozens of projects in recent years that we are proud to look back on. We broke records and set new standards in construction as a result. Together with our partners, we built Westfield Mall of the Netherlands: the largest indoor shopping centre in the Netherlands. We also transformed ASR's head office from energy label G to energy label A+++. On an extremely small building site in the heart of Rotterdam, we built the Cooltoren, one of the tallest residential towers in the centre of Rotterdam.

Through these projects, we expanded our own knowledge and expertise. We use this experience in Ballast Nedam's future construction projects.
